Behind the Words

The girl who would use her hairbrush as a microphone pretending to call Laker games as a kid- mimicking Chick Hearn’s classic one-liners while idolizing the every move of then sportscaster Robin Roberts. The girl whose stubborn personality came roaring to the surface in her 4th grade class within an on-going weekly group project her teacher entitled “News Teams” as she refused to report on anything other than sports because she knew then it was her calling to do so. That very same girl with a dream of becoming a Sports Journalist (despite this temporary and yet necessary fragment usage for dramatic effect) has become a woman with vision. A vision of changing the way one is able to connect to the world of sports on an individual basis, hence the birth of Point Blank Sports in 2014, and now specifically with Point Blank Buckets- continuing the mission with a centralized focus around the game of basketball- my first love.

My original dream has evolved into content creation, producing, and podcast development within Point Blank Buckets as well as taking on a part time mentorship at ESPN LA- learning from some of the top on-air and behind the scenes talent.
