Never fear, Nick Foles is here! After trailing for most of the game, Philadelphia’s leading man drove his team to an impressive 30-27 come from behind W on the road, Monday night, throwing for 331 yards and a game tying TD- giving them a quick 2-0 start to the 2014 season.
The additional and game changing help from former Saints running back, Darren Sproles, who tacked on 7 receptions with 152 yards, as well as LeSean McCoy’s 79 yards from 20 carries as a tip of his own (no pun intended) made for an overall successful team effort.
The boys from the city of brotherly love left Indianapolis nearly speechless- with quarterback Andrew Luck- looking as though his had temporarily run out.
Despite previously throwing for 3 TDs- a total of 172 yards- and finishing the game without getting sacked, it was his interception thrown late in the game that essentially was the passing of the baton for the Eagles soon to be 2nd second victory.
The tying touchdown pass (at 27) caught by Jeremy Maclin and thereafter the go ahead time expiring winning field goal by Cody Parkey, that sealed the deal for the visiting Philadephia Eagles on a thrilling Monday night.
Looking ahead, the high flying Eagles face the Washington Redskins Sunday at home, as the Colts look to rebound on the road against Jacksonsville Sunday as well.
