Down came the rain and up went the roars of the thousands of die hard Seattle fans, as the Saints entered CenturyLink Field Arena to face Pete Carroll and his 10-1 Seahawks for Monday Night Football.

Leaving no room chatter, Seattle quarterback Russell Wilson, reminded the entire Saints team just whose house they were in as he threw for 310 yards and 3 TDs, going 22 of 30 on the night, never letting the defense getting too comfortable as he also tacked on 8 carries for 47 yards.

Despite the many penalties called against the home team, Drew Brees and the Saints were unable to capitalize with each arising opportunity, as they had just barely broke 100 yards of total offense inching closer to the end of the third quarter.

The night’s loss makes Seattle the first to clinch a spot in the NFC playoffs and further extends the theory of the Saints being unable to win games outdoors, especially those late in the season.

The Seahawks improve to 11-1 as they look ahead to face San Francisco next week, where as the Saints move to 9-3 and will face the almighty win streak driven Panthers at home.
