The classic Alabama, LSU rivalry matchup met again Saturday in Tuscaloosa, as the #13 LSU Tigers were looking to give the #1 Roll Tide their first loss of the season.
With senior, AJ McCarron in the driver’s seat for the Tide, he made sure that Tiger vision was but dream. Throwing 3 TDs and 179 yards, going 14 for 20 on the night, McCarron as no surprise, came up big in the Alabama 38-17 victory.
The game tied after half time and early into the third quarter, the Roll Tide kicked it into over drive. Along side McCarron’s big offensive day, sophomore running back, T.J. Yeldon played his part as he ran for 133 yards and 2 TDs of his own.
“I think we probably played our best half of football,” Tide coach Nick Saban said. “We didn’t play great in the first half, but man I tell you what, a lot of character out there in the second half.”
Alabama will be at Mississippi State next week.
