It was the battle of the birds in Glendale, Arizona Thursday night as the 5-1 Seattle Seahawks flew down to face the 3-3 Arizona Cardinals.
The Cardinals veteran quarterback, Carson Palmer, struggled against the forceful defense of the Hawks as he threw for 2 interceptions, both of which turned into touchdowns for the away team.
“We knew we needed to be great,” Palmer said, “and we were not great today.”
Palmer has now thrown for 13 interceptions in total this season, 11 of which have been apparent in the last 5 games, having him sit an uncomfortable second in that category behind the still win less Eli Manning.
Russell Wilson, on the other hand, threw for three touchdowns as he lead his team to their 6th win of the 2013 season for the first time in franchise history-a 34-22 victory.
The men of the Pacific Northwest also tacked on 7 sacks during the course of the game, in addition to their star running back, Marshawn Lynch, rushing for 91 yards and accounting for one of the team’s TDs on the night.
Seattle next faces the Rams for Monday Night Football on October 28th, as the Cardinals look on to face the Falcons at home on Sunday, October 27th.
