Good Afternoon Sporties!
It’s looking like a great day in sports as the New York Giants are looking for their first W of the 2013 season in an away game against the 3-2 Chicago Bears. Although the Giants have taken the last four meetings against Cutler and the Bears at Soldier field, Manning has plenty riding on him as the Giants organization has yet to have an 0-6 in a mere 37 years!
“It’s everyone, the receivers, the offensive line. Everyone is to blame for some of these losses,” said receiver Victor Cruz after their 2 touchdown loss to Kansas City.
With the thought of playing in Super Bowl XXXXVIII on their home turf in the back of their minds, stay tuned to see if the Giants “legacy leading ways” return tonight at 8:25/5:25 pacific!
In other news, the journey to the ALCS continues as the Oakland A’s and Detroit Tigers are set to battle it out in a decisive elimination game 5 tonight in Oakland! Although the A’s are 0-5 all time in ALDS game 5’s, with home field advantage and Sonny Gray on the mound after allowing zero runs game 2, are going into game 5 ready for battle.
The Tigers, on the other hand, are 2-0 in ALDS game 5’s and are looking to advance to the ALCS for now the third straight season; and as they would like to say…and counting. After Verlander’s 11 blazing strikeouts in game 2 and the big bat of Miguel Cabrera behind them, the Tigers come into game 5 with plenty of renewed confidence after their remarkable series saving game 4 at home.
Stay tuned for tonight’s results, this is Point Blank Sports!
