After striking down Jack Johnson, Columbus Blue Jackets defensemen, with an illegal check to the head in last week’s 4-1 loss, Buffalo Sabres forward, Patrick Kaleta is facing much more than the 10 game suspension the NHL saddled him with.
Known for his violent acts in the league, this particular blow to Johnson will cost him a mere $152,439- all to go to the Player’s Emergency Assistance Fund.
Still waiting for his hearing, Kaleta is not again eligible to play until the 2nd of November, an away game in Anaheim.
