Monday morning brought news of yet another injured Laker guard; backup point guard and LA native, Jordan Farmar, will be sidelined for what looks to be the next 4 weeks, after tearing his hamstring playing just 56 seconds in Sunday night’s matchup vs. the visiting Trailblazers.

The key to much of their success in their back to back championship run back in 09-10, Jordan has yet again made his presence known and has helped bring a sense of life back into the team- averaging 9.2 points and 4.4 assists so far this season.

After an ultrasound examination, Farmar immediately began what is called platelet-rich plasma therapy stating, “healthy blood platelets put directly into the tear! I’ll be back ASAP and better than ever! Our guys got heart and will keep fightin!”

With a few days off and time to regroup however, the Lakers could have both Kobe and Nash back for Friday night’s matchup against the Kings in Sacramento.

Stay tuned for more, this is Point Blank Sports!
