Putting up just 17 points, their lowest of the season thus far, the visiting Stanford Cardinal were upset Saturday night 20-17 by the underdog USC Trojans- who were able to break the tie in the final minute of the matchup behind the leg of junior kicker, Andre Heidari, with his nearly perfect 47 yard field goal.

Behind the heart and surge of Coach Orgeron, the Trojans were able to regain life in their squad both on the offensive and defensive side of the ball as their win Saturday snapped a 3-game losing streak to the Cardinal and put their hopes of a national title on the back burner.

Sophomore Trojans quarterback, Cody Kessler, threw for 288 yards equating to one TD in addition to receiving leaders Marqise Lee and Nelson Agholor combining for almost 200 yards on the night’s victory.

It was a sight to see and one USC fans had missed, as they rushed the field as soon as the clock struck double zero.

The Trojans will face the Buffaloes in Colorado next Saturday, as Stanford looks for a comeback win at home against Cal.
