Youngster 76ers Turn Down the Heat- Slide Past Miami For First Win

Due to on going soreness in his knees, Dwayne Wade sat out Wednesday night, as the team traveled to Philly for their first away game… and boy were they in for a treat.

The youngster 76ers showed no fear of King James and the gang, as they not only held their own, but showed no mercy as they went on to defeat the 2-time defending champions in their home opener 114-110.

With former Syracuse guard and fresh 2013 first-round draft pick, Michael Carter-Williams at the helm, dropping in 22 points in addition to his 12 assists- his double double and win over perhaps the most dynamic team in the league posed for more than just debut… it was an attention grabbing statement.

“Everything was clicking tonight,” Carter-Williams said. “If we can consistently play together, then we can be a good team.”

Center Spencer Hawes, also played a big part in the team’s victory, as racked in 24 points while cleaning up for 9 rebounds in the paint.

The NBA season has surely begun and 2013-2014 is looking to be bright.
